After advancing to the state finals in the division 6A VHSL Boys Volleyball State Championship, James River’s boys volleyball team was anxious to take home a win against their rival, Cosby. The championship game was held on Thursday, November 17th at the Siegel Center in VCU. James River won the first two sets, but then the Titans pulled back by winning the third. With the Rapids ahead in the fourth set, everybody was on their toes waiting for the final 25th point to be scored. A hard hit was passed to Cosby, and they could not return it which meant that the James River Boys Volleyball Team won their second state championship title in a row.
