Boys Lacrosse advances to State tournament

The victory by the Boys Lacrosse team on June 1st earned them a spot in the State tournament. It will be the first time in the program’s history that they made it to this event. The Rapids defeated Colonial Forge in the 6A Region South final with a score of 11-3. Senior Matt Duignam led the way with six goals along with two assists. Senior goalie Cole O’Conner had a stellar performance finishing with 17 saves on 32 shots. The team has a current 12 game winning streak and has not lost since its first game back in March. Come out and support the Rapids next Tuesday, June 7th in the state semifinals here at James River.
