On Saturday, May 7th the Rapid field hockey team will be hosting the first ever Field hockey Flea Market. James River seniors can rent spots and sell items they no longer use. Coach Rebecca Wright has been coaching for James River for two years and is very excited to be part of this unique experience.

“This is the first time ever and it is a great opportunity to  teach the girls that everything must be worked for and the profits will help send the girls to camps and clinic,“ Wright said.

The spots are nine by 18 feet and are 25 dollars for one spot  as well as 45 dollars for two, with profits benefiting the field hockey program. This event lasts from 8-2 pm and sellers are recommended to bring their own table, but rentals are available.

“We will be down in the parking lot by the stadium with a Goodwill truck and also a food truck with lots of fun activities and things too,” Wright said.

The donations wanted include clothes, toys, books, and gently used household items. People are asked to make reservations before the event or attend the event. Come out and support the Rapids!
